Folkestone Under 7s were drawn in a pool with Sittingbourne, Canterbury B, and Blackheath; although as Sittingbourne failed to show, however, a Barbarians side alternating the spare players from Blackheath and Folkestone, meaning extra game time involved for everybody there.
All the players played exceptionally well for this early in the season and made their coach proud; performing beyond expectations. They tagged, passed and supported well and STAYED AWAY FROM THE TOUCH LINES.
On these occasions results do not really matter, but Folkestone did win all three of their games :
against Blackheath 5 tries to 4, the Barbarians 6-3 and Canterbury 7- 5. All matches were free flowing and fun games and Folkestone's representatives in the Barbarians played superbly well.
Try scorers for both Folkestone and the Folkestone Barbarian representatives were as follows :
Max Pickering - 6; Harrison Wade - 5; Callum Howes - 3; Jonathan Schurmuly - 2; Jake Langford - 3; Isabelle Lewis - 3; William Smith - 1; Zack Davenport - 1.
Folkestone Under 7s squad : Max Pickering, Kai Gurr, Zack Davenport, Callum Howes, Jonathan Schurmuly, William Smith, Charlotte Hughes, Isabelle Lewis, Jake Langford and Harrison Wade.
