Under 7s visit Thanet

A terrific turnout at Thanet Wanderers considering the early morning
conditions. Sixteen brave youngsters arrived to give the first airing to new under 7's sponsor CHUMMYS recently acquired shirts.

There were approximately 70 youngsters in total representing Thanet,
Folkestone, Dover and Ash and after an initial warm up, matches were
quickly arranged so that the youngsters would not get too cold. It was a mix and match affair with so many kids available and a real bonus to be able to generate two sides at an away fixture.

Both teams did themselves justice by playing well in extremely muddy,
initially wet and cold conditions and whilst there was some very good
tagging, support work and tries scored by certain individuals, on this
occasion it is best said that everybody contributed to an enjoyable
morning at Thanet Wanderers rugby club.

In absentia is Bella Reina whom I'm afraid did succumb to the cold but
very well done to everybody for turning out and much thanks to Chummys for their sponsorship.
