CRANBROOK U14s 17 FOLKESTONE U14s 36
Sunday 13th September 2015. Report from Paul Turner
The Folkestone lads first re-arranged game of the season was played away at Cranbrook, It turned out to be a good warm-up game for the boys on both sides.
Due to the size of the Cranbrook squad it was played in Quarters to ensure that all the lads, both old a new got a taste of what’s to come this season.
With the Folkestone boys receiving from the start they soon got control of the game and quickly started to run in the points.
Changes were made for the second quarter and the Cranbrook lads came back into it, a good game played by both sides but with tries from Faiers, Johnnie Hobbs, Finley Russell, Adam Butler(2),and finished off by Will Rayner plus three successful conversions from Dylan Barnes the Folkestone boys went on to gain their first win of the season 36 v 17.
The way this game was played also gave the coach’s food for thought on what both sides need to pick up on and adjust for their oncoming games.
