Folkestone U14s make ideal start to season
by Mark Santer
Folkestone 78 Sheppey 7
A good start for the U14s on Sunday. A full squad allowed coaches Paul and Mark to experiment with a number of new players , and to try experienced players in other positions to develop all rounders in the squad.
An early try within minutes of the whistle to start the game for Tyler Russell was the beginning of a flood of scores and conversions that demonstrated Folkestone’s dominance all over the pitch.
Sheppey capitalized on a handling error once they had driven Folkestone back into their own half, which allowed Ben Jamieson to go over the try line with a good deal of determination, the conversion for Sheppey by Kyle Hullis.
Folkestone newcomers Rory Morgan(2) and Robert Sherrard(1) both scored debut tries, other try scorers were Scotty MacAdam (1) Tyler Russell (3)Louis Santer (3) Charlie Stratford (1)
Conversions by Jack Hobbs for 14 points and Teds Morris for a further 4 points.
Overall a very good performance from a developing squad.
