Please help Ian Kennett in this charitable fundraising event

Ian Kennett (club member since 1987, former first team hooker, part time minis coach and a poor substitute for John Kidson on after dinner speaking duties) is undertaking the Marathon Des Sables as part of a team including 2 wounded servicemen to raise money for Walking with the Wounded.

The charity founded in 2010 is dedicated to providing funds to reeducate and retrain our injured service personnel and they have undertaken such high profile challenges as taking wounded servicemen and women to the North Pole, Everest and, with Prince Harry, to the South Pole in 2013.

The Marathon Des Sables is the equivalent of 5 and a half marathons in 6 days across the Moroccan Sahara desert in temperatures of 40 to 50 degrees and described by the Discovery channel as 'the toughest foot race on earth.'
As a 'warm down' and as befits the madness of a front row forward he is also running the London Marathon 2 weeks later.
