The Under 12's at the Kent Festival Sunday 30th March 2014
The boys came out with their heads up and put in some fine passing and scrummaging. The game was played with confidence. Tries came from Johnnie Hobbs (1), Ted Bean (1), Freddie Faiers (1), William Rayner (1), Finley Russell (1) and Dylan Barnes who managed to score from his own kick off.
Folkestone 0 v Old Alleynians 4
This proved to be a much harder battle against a side which was both well drilled and physically superior. Folkestone were definitely outplayed. Following a half time talk Folkestone came out more positive and began to get some tackles in but unfortunately were unable to put any points on the board.
Folkestone 0 v Blackheath 1
The full time score did not reflect the game which was for the most part an even match. Folkestone displayed good handling and passing only to be denied by a dubious dropped try by Blackheath.
Folkestone 0 v Westcombe Park 3
This was a tough game and the boys’ chins were definitely dropping, but they went into the game all guns blazing only to be stopped in their tracks by a much larger and well organised side.
This was a long day but the boys should come away with positives having taken on some superior and physical sides in what proved to be a very hard group.
