The U11s had a fantastic morning in sunny Dover today. They played a mini tournament against Dover and a visiting team from RC Octopus, Uden, Holland.

The boys won 4-0 against RC Octopus, Uden in a well fought game. Dover are unable to field an U11 team at the moment, so the boys play against a predominately U12 side. The score at the end of the first half against Dover was 1-1 but Dover put their older players on at half-time and Dover went on to win 4-1. The Dover coach praised our boys for their handling skills and said that he hadn't seen passing skills like theirs at this age before. Dover awarded Folkestone's Harry Cordell 'Man of the Match'.

The spirit of rugby was very evident today and one of the Folkestone Coaches praised all the children for their attitude and willingness to volunteer to make up numbers in other teams when necessary. Some of the English boys learnt some Dutch pronunciation. And the sun shone!

It doesn't get better than that.
