Folkestone Under 9s were drawn against Deal Betteshanger, Dover, Sittingbourne and Blackheath. All matches were lost by the Stones but three of these were by a narrow margin and could have gone either way.
In the last pool match against Dover a Barbarians side was put together as Dover had already left.
There were some outstanding performances by individuals that were commented on by other clubs’ coaches. Angus McGuiness, Oli Parrish and Benito Deccico seemed to pop up all over the pitch and excelled at tackling and dominating the pitch with their presence. The tries for Stones came from Benito Deccico, Oliver Bugden, Oli Parrish and Hadley Pilcher. An all round, good team performance on the day which did not bring any success today but gives the coach much to build on for the season ahead.
