It was cold!

The Folkestone U13 squad made its way across the County to meet their Thanet rivals, to be met with hail and rain during what was loosely described as a warm up.
The hail and rain stopped in time for the kick off, giving Folkestone the opportunity to exert some early pressure, playing some positive rugby.
The boys were put on the back foot however, with Thanet scoring 17 points in the first half, yet despite the cold morning taking its toll on the boys the last play of the first half gave them a chance score their first points, Ethan Bailey placing the ball down in the corner for 5 points. 17-5.
The second half saw Folkestone return to the pitch with their heads up, playing much good rugby. Notable during the second half was Harry Wells’ magnificent run, sadly missing out on a try. Shortly after Joseph Faiers was able to score to bring the end result to 34-10 to Thanet.

Coach Terry Holt said at the end of the game the determination of the boys is superb, never letting their heads drop, playing to the end of the game.
