Folkestone arrived a little apprehensive as they knew it would be a tough match against an Anchorian side made up of U13/14s and it was also a new fixture for the lads.
Folkestone turned out short with just 12 players available however the sporting home side lent the lads a player. So Folkestone's 13 took on 14.
The first 10 minutes was dominated by the route one tactics of Anchorians which were met by solid defence time and time again.
The Folkestone lads realised that they would have to change their tactics and with some good tactical kicking by Dylan Barnes they started to make some good ground followed by some great work in the backs by Finley Russell and Hughes, led to Dylan Barnes scoring his first try. Aurelien Austin was close with the kick but unable to convert. 5-0.
Folkestone carried on with the territorial play and strong scrummaging, Johnnie Hobbs scored his first try.
Austin was unable to convert but was again so close.10-0.
Good support plays both in the pack and back line soon saw Dylan Barnes continue the offence with Johnnie Hobbs scoring his second try which was successfully converted by Aurelien Austin. 17-0.
From then on Folkestone's fitness shone through, following a penalty awarded to Folkestone, Aurelien Austin easily converted. 20-0.
Great handling skills in the Folkestone backs and a terrific carry by Callum Little, let in Johnnie Hobbs to complete his hat trick which Aurelien Austin converted. 27-0.
Fine support work by Harry Curtis and Will Rayner resulted in a well deserved try for Will Rayner and converted by Aurelien Austin. 34-0.
More of the same was to follow with George Bass and Johnnie Hobbs support work leading to a brilliant try by Dylan Barnes, with Aurelien Austin again converting. 41-0.
Some great running, carries, tackling, and off loads by all, resulting in a great game of rugby and a well deserved win for the Folkestone lads.
