The opening exchanges were very even with both sets of forwards working hard to give quick ball to their backs, but folkestone were the first to cross the line after a break from the back of a ruck by scrum half Barney Mackenzie saw him pop the ball inside to Jason Baker who scored under the posts. Conversion by Patrick Matthews. Sittingbourne came back at Folkestone scoring a try out on the wing (no conversion). Again Folkestone came straight back and some big drives by the forwards gave the backs the chance to move the ball along the line to Pratik who sprinted in under the posts ( conversion by Barney). Sittingbourne replied again scoring another unconverted try out on the wing.
Folkestone carried on playing the same way with the forwards taking it to sittingbourne and setting up good ball for Barney to set up the backs. This led to Pratik scoring 2 more tries (1 conversion by Barney). Sittingbourne scored a try late on but this was Folkestone's day and a great effort from all players saw them take the win.
