GILLINGHAM ANCHORIANS U14's 0 FOLKESTONE U14's 62
Sunday 24th April 2016. Report from Paul Turner.
Stones travelled to North Kent to take on the recently formed Gillingham Anchorians side. All present were treated to a sparkling running display from the Stones during a match that they dominated from start to finish.
The signs were ominous for Gillingham when the Stones scored under the posts straight from the kick off and the one way traffic led to Stones being ahead 0-26 at half time thanks to tries from Adam BUTLER, Freddie FAIERS, Will RAYNER and a classic no 8 pickup and drive over the line from Chris COATES with the 4 extra points being added by James HUGHES and 2 from Aurelien AUSTIN.
The second half continued in similar fashion with tries from Brandon MILLER-LESLEY, Tom (The Swallow) WHELAN, Johnnie HOBBS, Ciaran HUGHES, James LEATHER and Theo DILLON-WELCH with a further 4 points from the boot of James HUGHES and another 2 from Aurelien AUSTIN.
An excellent performance from the Stones and a good set up for their up and coming Tour
All credit to Gillingham Anchorians who never gave up.
