U15s East Kent Tournament (10’s)
Sunday 15th January. Played at Folkestone Report from Coach Paul Turner.

Folkestone got off to a good start in their first game playing Sittingbourne
Tries from: Freddie Faiers x 2 Tom Whelan 1.and the extra 2 from a Conversion by Aurelien Austin, brought the final score 17 – 7 to the home lads
Their second game was up against Thanet> Folkestone 19 - 5 Thanet Wanderers.
Tries from: Dylan Barnes, Freddie Faiers and Chris Coates, followed by 2 conversions Aurelien Austin (1) and Dylan Barnes (1) made it 2 in a row with the lads winning 19 – 7.
The third game was a great battle against Canterbury with the away side taking the points with a 5 – 0 victory
Deal were to be the fourth game: The lads got back into their stride with tries from James Hughes, William Rayner, Tom Leather, Dylan Barnes, Freddie Faiers, Harry Curtis and Tom Whelan. And the add conversions from James Hughes (3) brought them victory 41 - 0.
The fifth game was the one they really need to win
Up on the hills and bitterly cold, both sides battled it out but even tries from Tiernan Canning and Freddie Faiers, were not enough to take it with the Medway lads taking the victory 12 -10 and a place in the final against Canterbury.

Folkestone U15's finished 3rd in the Tournament overall, however great respect to all that took part, in what can only be described as bitter weather..
