Andale! Andale! Arriba! Arriba!

It was great to see two new players turn up today for their first full training sessions, well done to Sam and Max, both look like they'll learn quickly and are welcome additions to our squad.

It was a pity that Medway had a double booking and went elsewhere to play this week, I will be seeing if I can arrange one or two additional matches given that we are also scheduled to play Deal soon and we know that they don't have a team in our age group. We did a lot of moving the ball when space is at a premium today as well as some additional passing and tackling drills, all went very well and we were able to finish off with 10-a-side. I think this has been our largest turnout for some time even though the wind chill factor was biting. Which is a reminder to all that winter conditions merit additional layers below your rugby shirt, it's no fun training when you're freezing and it doesn't help concentration.

Pitch conditions were excellent considering the recent weather!

Kit watch - I am now the proud owner of several water bottles, even an 'Arsenal' one, they'll be in the bag next week.

Training on Wednesday is currently scheduled for the club at 1830hrs, check emails before venturing out, then on Sunday we are now going to train and play some matches home against Canterbury RFC, a separate email has been sent.

Now player of the week. For an excellent display that included firstly listening to some guidance from Andy and following it to the letter as well as some great tackling, passing and very characteristic bursts of pace that resulted in some scoring, our very own Speedy Gonzales, Joseph Faiers is the player of the week this week. Well done Joseph!
