Evans knows we're miserable now...

There's a certain irony in this being week 13.

Another good session today, lots of enthusiasm throughout the squad, more work on finding space, different passing techniques and as if by magic, training worked and there was some play in the matches that was really very good, clearly the boys had been listening and practising well.

Training with Ricky on Wednesday this week will be at the Academy.

Next Sunday we are at Sheppey RFC! Separate email to follow.

Nothing new for kitwatch.

Unfortunately we have lost two players today, one for the rest of this season and one for perhaps longer.

Firstly, very unluckily Alfie Dove snapped his collarbone whilst making a tackle and will miss the rest of the season by the look of it, this was very unfortunate and we all wish Alfie a speedy recovery, remember Alfie, pain is temporary, class is permanent!

Secondly, drumroll, player of the week......

Player of the week this week is Billy Evans. Billy has been playing for Folkestone for half a lifetime and it has been a pleasure for all of his coaches to have Billy in the Folkestone Squad. I will remember Billy best for scoring the injury time winning try (against Ashford I think!) in a real ding dong match at the end of the Kent Festival at Tonbridge a couple of years back. We all wish Billy well in the future, whoever he plays for and hope that he'll return to Folkestone RFC in years to come. Well done Billy!
