Yes they'll all come to see me, in the shade of that old oak tree...

We had two contrasting sessions this week, just four hardy boys enjoyed Ricky's Wednesday session in the thunder and lightning and looked much fitter for it on Sunday.

On Sunday we had a good session with Ashford, an hours training and two training matches. There were a lot of great positives considering the squad have missed so much rugby, we will work harder on keeping the tackles down and picking those final passes when we are nearing the tryline instead of trying to squeeze through four or five defenders ourselves.

On Wednesday training with Ricky will be at the Folkestone Academy on the astroturf, appropriate training kit to be worn, training 1830hrs start to be finished before the lights go off at 2000hrs.

I will send a separate email update to all regarding training on Sunday.

Kitwatch - I still have a water bottle collection but thankfully the Cardiff one went home last Wednesday.

Player of the Week this week is Sam Johnson. Sam only started playing when the recent weather moved in and so has not seen much match practise, he was in at the deep end on Sunday against Ashford and coped very well, he was disciplined, trained hard and made some good tackles, well done Sam!

Anyone wondering about this weeks tagline - it is more to do with what Sam is stood on than Sam himself, yes the photo was taken this week!
