For those of you that can make it, please arrive around 10AM so we can give Don our normal Folkestone send-off by lining the driveway as he goes past.

Very best wishes,

It is with great sadness that Folkestone Rugby club records the passing of Don Turner who has been a Member for over 40 years. Don started playing for the Club in the late 70's when the Club was originally formed and over the years has undertaken a variety of positions in the club both administratively and physically, including 10 years as the Club's caretaker.
He spent years coaching Junior sides, giving them confidence to play a physical game fairly and actually coached both his sons who progressed through to the Senior sides of the club including the Captaincy of several of the sides over the years.
Don was a true gentleman, always prepared to lend a hand, easy to converse with and always with a smile on his face.
He will be missed by all who knew him and the Club sends its heartfelt sympathy and support to his wife Yvonne and family.
Don's funeral will take place at the Hawking Crematorium on the 2nd March at 10.30am and then return to the rugby club to celebrate his life. All are welcome...
