It seems the chance of winning a free beer is motivating 1st XV players to get off their bottoms and respond to team information texts. Incredibly even Mat Roots and Jack McMurray who, last season, didn't respond to texts for at least 3 days are firing back responses very very quickly. Today Rob Hudson was on his phone at lightning pace in under 30 seconds to respond to a text about availability for the Charlton Park game on Saturday. Since joining the club from Whitstable Rob has put in some terrific performances in Folkestone Green and has become a supoorter's favourite and I imagine that as you read this certain members of the Fillies have their eyes focussed in his direction. Rob will definitely need that beer.
