Further to our e-mail of 16th March, we are writing to share the very sad news that former Chairman and President of Folkestone Rugby Club, Mr John Kidson, passed away peacefully earlier today having succumbed to injuries he suffered in a fall last week. Those of us who are fortunate enough to have known John will remember him as a wonderfully generous, erudite, and thoughtful gentleman with a keen and mischievous sense of humour and an abiding passion for rugby at all levels. With this unhappy news so fresh in their minds, John’s family remain grateful for our support and appreciate us continuing to respect John’s and their privacy at this time. We wish John, our very own Captain Mainwaring, a genuinely fond farewell…’
