In the continuing competition for 1st XV squad players to win a pint of beer by being the first to respond to a text and attending the event the text is all about Chris Petley was first and a delicious pint of beer awaits him at the club. Last week's winner David Baxter beat Chris to the mobile phone but unfortunately Dave (Call me David) was declining the invitation so was disqualified this time. But another 1st XV text will soon be sent out so DavID can try again.

Another text has just gone out to the 1st XV squad and Mr Petley was narrowly beaten to the free pint by Paul Hodges. This text was asking players to let the coaches know if they can attend a restaurant meal after a training session on the beach at Tankerton on Saturday 13 August. So assuming Paul attends he can expect a nice cool beer to be waiting for him.
